Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Vinaigrette

fullsizerender

  • Pumpkin Puree
  • Olive Oil
  • Balsamic Vinegar

This was a nice twist on balsamic vinaigrette. I put this on top of an Autumnal salad with apples, blue cheese, pecans, cranberries, etc.

I would recommend this as a salad dressing or perhaps a marinade of sorts?

Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Body Butter

fullsizerender1

This Body Butter is just what I needed to lather my crusty, crackling skin in! Mmm… If that’s not hot, I don’t know what is!

This ‘butter’ consists of:

  • Coconut Oil
  • Shea Butter
  • Pumpkin Seed Oil

Smells so great and is not overly buttery or thick on the skin; it goes on very smooth and my skin is so silky soft right now. Now I just need an attractive lad to massage it all over my body…

Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Flavored Dog Treats

fullsizerender1

I thought about tasting these, but haven’t gotten that desperate yet. Maybe in December when they are still around and all my pumpkin spice supply has ran out?!

  • My dog took it right away! She was excited for it, not that smell and walk away type of treat.
  • She hid it under the bed so The Purrfessor couldn’t get to it.
  • I give it to her at night she eats 1/2 and saves the rest for the AM. She, like me, is good at rationing her Pumpkin treats.

Based on the above, I’d say my dog likes these treats.

Captain Morgan Jack-O’Blast Pumpkin Spiced Rum

fullsizerender3

  • Pumpkin Spice Mixed with Rum! Umm… Need I say more?!
  • Pumpkin Bottle=LOVE
  • The group took it as a shot, but I actually sipped on it. I really enjoyed it!
  • Think it would be really good with Coca-Cola/Pepsi
  • Or it would also be a good pair with Pumpkin Ale and maybe a splash of ginger beer or ale? Topped with some cinnamon sugar? Hmmm
  • Great consistency/nice finish

Pumpkin Score: 5 out of 5 Pumpkins!

*Thanks to the lad that purchased this! He is a real BLAST as well.

Ample Hills Creamery Fall 4-Pack Ice Cream

fullsizerender2

The Fall 4-Pack is a curated selection of Ample Hills’ favorite fall flavors!

  • Vanilla Bean: made with steeped Mexican vanilla beans and Madagascar bourbon vanilla extract
  • Nonna D’s Oatmeal Lace: brown sugar cinnamon ice cream with Nonna’s homemade oatmeal lace cookies
  • No Sleep Till Pumpkin: coffee ice cream with pieces of housemade pumpkin ooey gooey butter cake
  • Autumn in New York: apple cider sorbet made with cinnamon, cloves, ginger and amaretto liqueur

My favorite was “Autumn in New York”.  Just so happens that’s also my favorite tagline in general. Sure has been a splendid Autumn so far!

Thanks the Dudley’s who shipped this ice cream and provided for the 2nd Annual Pumpkin Party. I feel very honored to have such great friends that also care about my pumpkin obsession. Hearts all around. 🙂

Every pint of Ample Hills ice cream is made at our shop in Gowanus, Brooklyn. We are a growing and evolving business, but we still make our ice cream the same way we did when we opened three years ago: pasteurizing on-site, making mix-ins from scratch, and challenging ourselves to make the next best flavor.
