Trader Joe’s: Cold Pressed Juice: Pumpkin Harvest

fullsizerender

Each bottle contains:

  • 1/20 of a Pumpkin
  • 2 Carrots
  • 3/4 Celery Stalk
  • 1/8 Sweet Potato
  • 1/8 Orange
  • 1 inch of ginger
  • Pinch of Tumeric
  • 120 calories per bottle
  • 23g of Sugar
  • 3g Protein
  • 28g Carbs

As a juice drinker, this was a welcome change to my typical green juice. Not only because it was orange, but because the hint of pumpkin made it worthwhile and made me forget I was drinking something healthy.

All in all, I love everything about this juice, especially because I have been looking to intake more tumeric in my diet and really don’t like the taste as is.  And since I have the ingredient list I can make this at home, but likely I will just buy more (since I need to make another TJ’s run… they have so many Pumpkin things that I still have to try!)

I would highly recommend this to my juice people. Even if you don’t like pumpkin, but  you like juicing, THIS was a really good combination.

Pumpkin Score: 4 out of 5 Pumpkins

*While it wasn’t super pumpkin-y, this received higher marks  because it was a new take on pumpkin, and how pumpkin should be used more.

Thank you Trader Joe’s — You always slay on the pumpkin pickins!

1st off my apartment smelled amazing after baking this! And talk about EASY! This took about 3m to prepare, then bake for 50m.

  • Delicious flavor- Pumpkin-Y
  • Great consistency
  • Tastes so great right out of the oven, with butter and a cup of coffee.
  • Also tastes great on day 2 and 3
  • Similar to Pumpkin Loaf at Starbucks [think it’s even better]
  • Would be amazing with a little bit of icing on top. Next time!

Siggis: Pumpkin & Spice Strained Low-fat Yogurt

img_5058

This Icelandic style cream-skyr [thick] is pretty great. I love how rich and smooth the texture is. However, it is a tad tart! But delicious

  • Pumpkin isn’t overpowering, just a hint
  • 110 calories!
  • 15g of Protein!!!
  • Ingredient list is small [love]
  • No artificial anything

I would highly recommend this yogurt even if you don’t like pumpkin spice. Any of the flavors still cover the above list [except pumpkin]. I like that it is similar to a greek yogurt texture wise, but seems better for YOU.

A definite must-try!

Nounos: Pumpkin Spice Limited Batch Greek Yogurt

1st off presentation is key. I loved the glass container instead of a plastic one. Nice touch. Although, it was also $3.50 at the local supermarket. So, you’re definitely paying for it!

This greek yogurt was tasty alone AND with the pumpkin mixed.

  • 170 calories
  • Family owned and operated
  • Pumpkin flavored with cinnamon, clove, and spices.
  • And it’s not Greek-style, It’s authentically Greek. You’ll taste the difference.
